Music Has the Right to Children

Children’s music played a part in Sono Cairo’s early output, which is fitting or ironic given Mohamed Fawzi’s well-known work composing for young audiences.

The label’s children’s records stood out not only for their melodies but also for their inventive and playful cover designs, bringing a fun, creative spirit to both sound and visuals in those formative years.

That last cover, above, is obviously not a children's record (it's an Ahmed Sami release from 1966), but it's one of the rare stylistically interesting one-offs Sono Cairo created.
